These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of Leeds Cab’s taxi and private hire services, including bookings made through our website (www.leedscab.co.uk), mobile applications, telephone, or in person. By booking a journey with Leeds Cab, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

• “Driver” refers to the individual providing the transportation service.
• “Vehicle” refers to the car, taxi, or other transport used to provide the service.
• “Booking” refers to a confirmed reservation for transportation services.
• “Fare” refers to the charge for the transportation service.

3. Booking and Cancellation

3.1 Making a Booking

  • Full name and contact telephone number
  • Leeds Cab – Terms & Conditions
  • Pickup location and destination address
  • Date and time of journey
  • Number of passengers and luggage requirements
  • Any special requirements (e.g., wheelchair accessibility)

3.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is only confirmed when you receive a confirmation from us via your chosen communication method. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.

3.3 Cancellations by Customer

You may cancel your booking subject to the following terms:

  • Free cancellation: More than 24 hours before pickup time
  • 50% cancellation fee: Between 2-24 hours before pickup time
  • Full charge: Less than 2 hours before pickup time or no-show

Airport pickup cancellations may have different terms depending on flight tracking circumstances.

3.4 Cancellations by Leeds Cab

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule bookings due to:

  • Unforeseen circumstances (vehicle breakdown, driver illness)
  • Severe weather conditions affecting road safety
  • Customer providing inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Customer behaviour that poses a safety risk

In such cases, we will notify you as soon as possible and provide a full refund if payment has been
made.

4 Fares and Payment

4.1 Fare Calculation

Fares are calculated based on:

  • Distance of the journey
  • Time taken (including waiting time)
  • Type of vehicle requested
  • Leeds Cab – Terms & Conditions
  • Time of day (standard rates vs. premium rates)
  • Any additional services (meet and greet, extra stops)

All fares are quoted in British Pounds (GBP) and include VAT where applicable.

4.2 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

  • Cash (paid directly to the driver)
  • Credit/debit cards (in-vehicle and online)
  • Apple Pay and Google Pay
  • Time of day (standard rates vs. premium rates)
  • Business account billing (for approved corporate accounts)

4.3 Additional Charges

The following additional charges may apply:

  • Waiting time: Charged after the initial free waiting period
  • Airport parking fees (where applicable
  • Tolls and congestion charges
  • Soiling/cleaning fee for damage to the vehicle
  • Cancellation fees as outlined in Section 3.3

5. Service Standards

5.1 Pickup Times

We strive to arrive at the pickup location at the agreed time. However:

  • Traffic conditions, weather, and unforeseen circumstances may cause delays
  • We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control
  • We recommend allowing extra time for important journeys

5.2 Vehicle Standards

All our vehicles:

  • Are licensed and insured in accordance with UK law
  • Are regularly maintained and safety-checked
  • Are clean and presentable
  • Display appropriate licensing documentation

5.3 Driver Standards

All our drivers:

  • Hold valid UK driving licences and appropriate taxi/private hire licences
  • Have undergone background checks (DBS)
  • Are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable about the local area

6. Passenger Responsibilities

By using our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate booking information
  • Be ready at the agreed pickup time and location
  • Treat drivers and vehicles with respect
  • Not consume alcohol or illegal substances in the vehicle
  • Not smoke or vape in the vehicle
  • Ensure all passengers wear seatbelts where fitted
  • Supervise children appropriately
  • Not exceed the vehicle’s passenger or luggage capacity

We reserve the right to refuse service or terminate a journey if these responsibilities are not met.

7. Luggage and Personal Property

Our liability for luggage and personal property is limited:

  • We are not responsible for loss or damage to luggage or personal items
  • Passengers are responsible for ensuring all belongings are removed from the vehicle
  • Lost property will be held for 28 days and can be claimed by contacting us
  • Unclaimed items may be disposed of after 28 days

8. Accessibility

We are committed to providing accessible services:

  • Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are available upon request
  • Assistance dogs are welcome in all vehicles
  • Please inform us of any accessibility requirements when booking

9. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the fare paid for the journey
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages
  • We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

All our vehicles carry appropriate insurance as required by UK law. This includes:

  • Public liability insurance
  • Passenger liability coverage
  • Comprehensive vehicle insurance

11. Complaints Procedure
